Khanjarli is the name given to a type of Indian dagger with a strong double edged blade and a large semi-circular pommel.

This piece follows the formal characteristics of this type of weapon with a watered steel blade, of the wootz style, S shaped with a central groove and a reinforced tip. Near the hilt it is ornamented with chiselled floral motifs.

The hilt, with its characteristic format, is covered by two riveted ivory plaques. It also has an oval disc shaped guard, decorated with stylised elephant images. It has a curved lateral guard with a groove in the extremity shaped like a button.

Khanjarli é a designação atribuída a um tipo de adaga Hindu, com uma forte lâmina de duplo gume e largo pomo de formato semi-circular.

Este exemplar, segue formalmente as características desta tipologia, com lâmina em aço damasquino, tipo wootz, curvada em "S" com nervura central e ponta reforçada. Junto ao punho, está ornamentada com um cinzelado de motivos florais.

O punho com o formato característico, está revestido por duas placas de marfim, rebitadas. Possui uma guarda discóide ovalada, decorada com figuras de elefantes estilizados. Guarda lateral curvada, com a nervura na extremidade em forma de botão.
