This Kard displays a blade of watered steel with a kirk-narduban pattern, also called the “stairs of the Prophet”, due to the series of transversal grooves engraved over the original damascene pattern.

It features engraved high-relief work, with a floral decoration of arabesques, partly inlayed in gold.

The same sort of ornaments can be seen in the hilt, which is made of two plates of walrus ivory, fixed with rivets, in each of the sides of the blade’s fitting.

The sheath is wood, covered in red silk, and displays, in the iron tip, a koftgari gold inlay.

Este Kard, surge com uma lâmina em aço damasquino com um padrão kirk-narduban, também designado por a “escada do Profeta”, devido à série de sulcos transversais posteriormente executados sobre o padão matriz damasquino. Apresenta um trabalho gravado em alto-relevo, com uma decoração floral de arabescos, em parte incrustada a ouro.

O mesmo tipo de ornatos surge no punho, que por sua vez, é construído por duas placas em marfim de morsa, fixadas por rebites, em cada um dos lados do encaixe da lâmina.

A bainha é de madeira, revestida a seda vermelha, e ostenta na ponteira de ferro, um trabalho incrustado a ouro, em koftgari.
